Goals, Habits, and Allies

Short Term Goals : I hope to finish my summer internship with lots of things to put on my resume for college apps. In addition, I would really like to obtain important skills that are essential to the workplace and learn how to be more professional through my internship. I also want to finish all the summer homework I have as well as get started on college essays.

Long Term Goals : In the future, I would like to graduate college within four years at a school that I love and enjoy. Hopefully I will acquire a job afterwards that I'm happy with that gives me a reasonable income. With all these things done, I hope that I would be a strong and independent person.

Habits : I would like to keep my current working habits of working diligently and being respectful towards others. Also being dedicated to whatever I do is and always will be important. It's very important that if I choose to do something, then I'm going to do it with my best ability. Some other habits that are important for the future are time management and communication. I shouldn't procrastinate on the things I need to do because ultimately it will create more work and a lack of dedication at the end. For communication, it's important that I am able to fully and effectively communicate with people of authority and other adults.

Allies : My current allies would include my parents and most members of my family. Teachers and my counselor at school are current allies that could help me with my immediate needs. In the future, business partners and people in places of power along with my friends who are leaders would be allies because they can help get me to better positions for my job, or even introduce me to a new job,

Goals, Habits and Allies

Goals:
I want to try to find ways to help others, because currently it has really helped me determine what type of jobs I have undertaken, like volunteering during dinner service at the local retirement home, and working as a child caretaker at the community center in Mill Valley. I work hard to get high grades in school but I want to get better at getting help from my peers and teachers when I need it because I tend to avoid it. I also think it is important to stay up to date on current events and world news because it is important to understand how countries around the world are making decisions and taking actions that can effect the common person. In the future, I hope to use my current goals to help me get a job in biotechnology to help solve major problems in the world, such as global warming, world hunger, and finding better treatments or even cures to degenerative diseases.

Habits:
I tend to ask a lot of questions in class when I am curious about a subject or have some confusions on a topic. I also am a diligent worker and hope to maintain that quality in the future, however I tend to procrastinate on work often. I am fairly empathetic toward others, and I like to make others feel comfortable when I talk to them, which I hope I still do in the future.

Allies:
My allies would be my guidance and career counselors who have been consistently making helpful suggestions and finding ways to better my school experience. My teachers are also beneficial because they get to know me and want to see me succeed and can in turn help right me letters of recommendations for when I apply to internships or colleges. My family supports me and lets me take the car when I need it, and my friends help me find opportunities by turning me on to interesting jobs, volunteer work, or clubs or helping me remember important dates, such as tests, college visits, fairs, and jobs. I want to keep my student and professor connections and internship supervisor connections for the future when I have a job in bioengineering, because they may be able to help me if they work in similar fields, and in turn I could help them as well.
